Say hello to Antony Haigh - your go-to sales rep
0 minute read
Tony has been part of the sales team for 18 months. Before that, he’s worked for our parent company, Flow Group, for the last 8 years. In this newsletter, you have the opportunity to find out a bit more about him and why he does what he does.
What does a day in the life of Tony look like?
I wake up and get a little time with the family before going to work. When I get there I check my emails and start calling clients.
What do you enjoy about your job?
I enjoy having my own desk to work from. Everybody is different and it allows me to personalise my space. I have a chess set on my desk for example, and we play the odd game on our down time. Also I’m happy in a sales role because I enjoy making clients happy.
Why do your customers choose to work with you?
I think it’s because I don’t try to sell the wrong thing for them and I always try to find a solution that benefits them. Every client is different. It’s why I enjoy what I do so much. You have to think about a client’s needs and requirements to create the best solution for them.
What’s a piece of business advice you’d pass on?
Don’t always believe what you’re being sold. A lot of people come to us having been sold the wrong solution. The core values of our company revolve around trust and accountability. Our clients have to believe we are working for their best interests or we have failed.
What makes Mr Flyer different?
ME! But seriously, it’s the team. I’m sure everyone of us believes we bring something unique to the table that helps everybody else do their job. The company has a level playing field where everyone’s voice is heard and given the same opportunity.
What’s been your favourite campaign to work on?
We have a broadband company who are a regular client of ours. They are really easy to work with, get us everything we need on time and are always happy with the price and service. We have a great working relationship.
What have you learnt by working at Flow Group?
Wuuu-saaa! Breathe.
What’s the proudest moment in your career?
Running Frogmill Hotel in Cheltenham by myself for 4 weeks whilst the owners were away.
What are some of your hobbies or interests?
Listening to love songs, country music and boy bands. I also love poker, chess and I enjoy a drink. I recently went to Vegas and got to play at some tables there. I want to do it again next year because I was ill at the time, so I would like another shot at doing it properly. I always wanted to play against professionals, but after doing so I’m not sure how bright that was. I’m still going back for a rematch though.
What’s your favourite meal?
[Without hesitating] Sausage, mash and beans.
