You may have already heard our exciting news - we have moved and we have merged!
On the 9th of March, we moved to our new home in Brighouse to live with Flow Solutions, whom we have merged with. It’s not so glamorous right now, despite having 15,000 sq.ft facilities, we are temporarily squashed in their little boardroom! Thankfully we are assured that our new offices will be ready in a couple of weeks, positioned on the mezzanine with a nice view over the main direct mail fulfilment warehouse.
So who are Flow Solutions and what do they do?
No, they don’t provide water - they provide direct mail and many more things too. So here’s a quick overview of their services, which are now, of course, our services too:
- Direct Mail
Direct mail is where your advertising material is posted directly to a specific recipient (such as a letter from an estate agent to specific landlords in their area). As you may know, we have offered this for a couple of years, but only on a basic level. Now, however, your options are endless and as it’s now all done in-house, our prices are even lower!
Predominantly, due to the quantities we typically print, we have printed litho. Now we have an in-house digital print room, which again massively increases our range of print for you. And again, our prices are now even lower as a result!
- Hand Assembly & Packing
Have you ever wondered who makes a complex looking point of display units and origami-style packaging? Flow, that’s who! Be it assembling, folding, glueing or heat bending, Flow does it all and in huge volume too.
- Pick and Pack
If your business is in retail fulfilment with lots of stock but no space to store it and no time to send out those individual items each day, then Flow can help. With Flow’s automated systems, you can remove overheads and headaches from your business. Flow do all the fulfilment for you.
Are they any good?
Yes! We wouldn’t have merged with them otherwise! In the last 11 years, they have worked with SMEs to blue-chip PLCs, including industry-leaders like Waitrose, Cadburys, Aston Martin, Virgin Trains and B&Q. They are even an authorised Walt Disney supplier. On top of this, they have the ISO9001 and 14001 accreditations, essential for this industry.
Why the merger?
There’s a well-known verse in the Bible found in Ecclesiastes which says, “Two are better than one for they have a good return for their work”. At Mr Flyer, over the last 12 months, we have made significant changes to our business model to ensure we remained a viable business and continued to provide a value-added service to you, our customers. With this, we were looking for ways to expand and improve our services. It just so happens that Flow Solutions had also been looking at ways to expand, particularly more into door to door distribution. When we were introduced by a mutual friend, we hit it off straight away and the actual merger went through in a matter of weeks. Together we are stronger, we have shared resources and can provide one another’s customers with an increased service offering.

When it comes to direct mail in particular, the expertise and experience Flow have in this specialist field will result in even stronger returns on your investment.
